Stables Supervisor (Permanent)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of the stable yard, ensuring the health and welfare of all horses through feeding, grooming, exercise, and health checks.
- Lead and coordinate the team of Grooms, assigning duties, overseeing routines, and monitoring performance.
- Plan and manage individual horse care schedules, including riding programmes and rest rotations during off-seasons.
- Ride and handle a range of horses, including stallions, and provide assistance to team members with challenging animals.
- Monitor stock levels and order feed, bedding, and other supplies as required.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of records relating to horse routines, treatments, and activities.
- Liaise with the Manager for veterinary care and paddock management needs.
- Secure the premises daily, ensuring proper opening and locking procedures are followed.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety across the facility.
- Address and escalate any issues related to staff performance or horse welfare.
- Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven experience in horse care/management with a high standard of husbandry (Essential)
- Experience in a supervisory or team leader role (Desirable)
- Ability to ride to a high standard (Essential)
- Relevant equine qualification (Essential)
- Experience working with children (Essential)
- Clean driving license (Essential)
- Strong knowledge of the equine industry (Desirable)
