The Role You are a versatile designer at the crossroads of visual and motion, turning ideas into sharp, story-led work that moves. You’re excited to shape how Koto shows up in the world. Working closely with our Chief Creative Officer (CCO) and Marketing team, you help build narratives, visual systems, and standout assets that push our relevance and reach forward. You believe great marketing has real power and care about building a distinctive, creatively-led brand for an ambitious studio. Fluent in social and comfortable across strategy and execution, you collaborate easily and think beyond the brief. Your Responsibilities You partner closely with Koto’s CCO, London’s ECD, and Marketing team to shape how Koto shows up in the world through the creation of brand and motion narratives, visual systems, and key assets. You generate strong creative ideas and articulate them clearly across visual and motion outputs. You stay focused on the core narrative of the brief and consistently bridge intent and execution. You play an active role in strengthening Koto’s reputation and supporting growth across priority sectors such as gaming, health, and electronics, aligning your work with clear business goals. You use social media as a creative and strategic channel, developing work that builds Koto’s awareness, relevance, and distinctive cultural presence with high-value audiences. You care deeply about people and what makes Koto’s culture distinctive. You actively shape and express that story to the outside world, strengthening our culture, showcasing our talent, and reinforcing Koto’s employer brand across every studio. You collaborate closely with the team around you, following senior direction while bringing fresh perspective that elevates the overall quality of the work. You build clear, compelling presentations and present work with confidence and precision. You take strong ownership of your role, managing your time and workload with care. You act quickly on feedback and use it to continuously improve your craft and impact. You bring an entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset. You are organised, output-driven, culturally curious, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, and present in the London studio as an active part of Koto’s culture. You have strong working knowledge of Figma, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Pitch. Our Responsibilities We will ensure you have meaningful and regular access to your manager to support your personal development and career trajectory. We will actively reward performance with promotions, pay increases and a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of salary to all employees. We ensure Koto is an equal environment for all its employees. We will support you in taking family leave and offer significant paid maternity and paternity. We will actively encourage you to take 25 days holiday yearly, in addition to UK bank holidays (on average eight), one additional holiday day per year (capped at 5 additional days), and a studio closure between Christmas and New Year. We will contribute an additional 3% to anyone wanting to engage in the Scottish Widows pension scheme. We deploy a monthly ‘employee wellness’ benefits package via Juno of £75 per month. We offer access to YCN and fund relevant training opportunities to any employee looking to develop themselves and career. We reward five years of service with £5,000 and five days holiday. We reward ten years of service with £10,000 and four weeks holiday. We will give you the opportunity to work from any the five koto studios globally, with appropriate planning and application. Our Culture At Koto we encourage our team to be ‘rationally optimistic’ about the potential of our work, our clients, their businesses, and the power of brand. We pursue the best briefs, want to inspire meaningful work, and for those interested provide an opportunity to make the work of their lives. We are actively cultivating leadership, culture and spaces to encourage this. We work in person with an optional WFH day on Friday, and an additional twenty days remote a year. We believe this produces the best work, mentoring opportunities, collective learning and culture. We encourage autonomy in each member of our team, allowing them to manage their own time, hours and personal commitments appropriately to complete work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
