Opportunity in Our Staff Cafe
An opportunity has arisen in our Staff Cafe, located in Bettys Bakery, and we are looking for a Staff Cafe Assistant to join us to cook and serve breakfast, lunches, and snacks to around 160 people throughout the day on different shift patterns.
Responsibilities
As a Staff Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking hot food, soups, salads, and sandwiches
- Maintaining high food safety procedures
- Cleaning
- Some serving
- Supporting the team with menu planning and ordering
Working Pattern
- This is a full-time role working 40 hours 5 days over 7.
- The shift pattern for this role will be between the hours of 4am - 4pm, which includes paid and unpaid breaks.
- The majority of the shifts start between 6.30 and 7.30am.
- Some weekends and bank holidays will be required on rotation with the team.
About You
You should have experience in cooking and working in a busy kitchen and be able to respond to the needs of those around you. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with those around you and follow instructions. Formal qualifications are less important than being able to demonstrate levels of numeracy and literacy to meet the requirements of the job.
