This role owns the frontend of Superluminal, a new perpetuals exchange built at Douro Labs, at the exact layer where the trading experience gets decided. This is not a role built around a fixed spec. It carries real ownership over how perps trading feels and works for the people.
Superluminal is built to be fast and to give traders better pricing than most exchanges currently offer. Perps is a crowded space, but it's also one with plenty of success stories, and the team believes Superluminal has what it takes to be among the best out there.
Location: US Remote
Language: English (Fluent)
About the Team and This Role
- Team Structure: The frontend team at Superluminal is currently a three-person effort, and this hire will be one of the first people working on it full time.
- Ownership: This role carries a high degree of independence. Decisions made here ship fast and shape the product directly, with very little process in between.
- Domain Fit: This role calls for someone who trades perps personally, or follows the space closely enough to have real opinions about it. That understanding of what a trader actually needs is what separates a good perps interface from a merely functional one.
- Growth Path: The role is an individual contributor position day to day, with room to grow into a leadership role over time for the right person, though this is not a requirement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
