Staff Minibus Driver (AM & PM shifts)

HOURS: Part time

SALARY RANGE: £13.05 - £14.08

Details

  • Contract 1 – PM: 22.5 hours per week, 5 evenings a week between Monday to Sunday 6:30pm – 11pm
  • Contract 2 – PM: 9 hours per week, 2 evenings a week between Monday and Sunday 6.30pm – 11pm
  • Contract 3 – AM: 9 hours per week, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday 6.30am – 9.30am

The Main Aim

The main aim of the ideal candidate is to pick up and drop off staff up to and from arranged location points in Basingstoke / Reading and deliver them to The Loddon School promptly for their shifts to commence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle checks ensuring that basic maintenance is upheld and that there are enough consumables such as windscreen wash and diesel for the vehicles to be used during the day.
  • Report any issues that arise from driving the vehicles.
  • Report any accidents immediately.
  • Ensure vehicles are roadworthy the day ahead.
  • Ensure the vehicles are left clean and tidy at the end of every journey.
  • Provide a warm and welcome journey for current and new staff.
  • Be flexible to changes that might occur at the last minute.
  • Have good communication skills and be able to build relationships with staff and managers.

  • Must be over 21 years old and have had 3 years of driving experience.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.

Hours

There will also be an opportunity to pick up hours when covering additional pick ups as the service grows, and to cover holidays.

Hourly Rate

£13.05 – £14.08

Requirements

  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, have 12 months or more on current visa.
  • You will be willing to undertake a DBS check.
