Job Description
Analog Devices is seeking an experienced Staff Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer with proven experience in low-power analog and mixed-signal design. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-performance consumer audio products within a collaborative, diverse, and knowledge-sharing environment. It is an ideal position to refine design skills and influence architecture decisions at the system level within the PES Audio team.

As a key member of the PES Audio team, you will design the next generation of high-performance audio solutions, transforming how devices are operated, music is enjoyed, and people are connected. These integrated circuits enable high-volume, high-visibility products for market-leading customers who depend on best-in-class audio performance to differentiate their offerings. Innovative audio technologies are driven by the growing demand for connected devices and form-factor reduction, pushing circuit-level design and system tradeoffs to new limits.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture definition for analog and mixed-signal functionality.
- Collaborate with the analog team to execute designs from abstract levels to transistor-level.
- Provide guidance and instructions for:
- Layout implementation.
- Bench evaluation.
- Production testing to ensure successful design delivery.
- Actively contribute to bench evaluation, supported by the evaluation team.
- Communicate effectively regarding:
- Design choices.
- Performance updates.
- Project progress.
- Offer mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Degree: Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in architecting and designing:
- Analog circuits.
- Mixed-signal circuits.
- Hands-on low-power design expertise up to transistor level.
- Proficiency in:
- Spectre simulation tools or equivalent.
- Behavioral/system-level modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-site, cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of:
- Signal processing (e.g., data-converters, DSP).
- Experience with:
- Power design.
- Audio IC design.
- Passion for audio engineering.
