Job Description:

Analog Devices is seeking an experienced Staff Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer with proven experience in low power analog and mixed signal design. This role offers the opportunity to work on high performance consumer audio products within a collaborative, diverse, and knowledge-sharing environment. It is an ideal position to perfect design skills and work within the design team to influence architecture decisions at the system level.

As a key member of the PES Audio team, you will be designing the next generation of high-performance audio solutions defining the way devices are operated, the way music is enjoyed, and the way people connect to each other. These integrated circuits enable high-volume, high-visibility products for market-leading customers who depend on best-in-class audio performance to differentiate their offerings. The rapid proliferation of connected devices, combined with aggressive form-factor reduction in audio peripherals, continues to push the boundaries of existing solutions - driving the need for innovative architectures and novel system-level trade-offs and circuit-level design innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture definition of analog and mixed signal functionality
  • Work with the analog team to execute designs from abstract level down to transistor level
  • Provide guidance and instructions for layout implementation, bench evaluation and production test to ensure successful delivery of the design
  • Actively participate in bench evaluation with support from evaluation team
  • Communicate effectively design choices, performance and progress
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership for junior engineers

Requirements

  • Electronic Engineering/Computer Engineering degree with 5+ years of progressive experience in architecting and designing analog and mixed signal circuits
  • Hands on experience on low power designs at transistor level
  • Proficient with Spectre simulation tools or equivalent and behavioral/system-level modeling tools
  • Good understanding of semiconductor device physics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multi-site, cross-functional engineering teams

  • Experience with power design
