Staff Nurse – Surgical Ward
Location: London: The Princess Grace Hospital
Employment Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift Times: Shift patterns will include days, nights and weekends
Position Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive DOE + 9% shift enhancement
We’re looking for a Staff Nurse to join our Surgical Ward team at The Princess Grace Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC.

The hospital is renowned for delivering exceptional patient care in a safe, welcoming and modern environment.
As a Staff Nurse within the surgical ward, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing patient care needs
- Planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care
- Working both independently and collaboratively within the wider team
- Supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, delivering high-quality care from admission through to discharge
The role involves:
- Monitoring patient condition
- Administering medications
- Managing post-operative care
- Ensuring accurate documentation
- Escalating any concerns appropriately
- Working closely with consultants and allied health professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
You will take accountability for your own practice while contributing to a supportive team environment and maintaining a consistently high standard of patient-centred care.

What You’ll Bring
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
- Experience in a surgical or acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams
