At Diaverum, we are looking for NMC Registered General Nurses to join our Burnley Dialysis Unit as a Renal Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to specialise in dialysis nursing, providing patient-centred care in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Renal Nurse at Diaverum, you will:

  • Develop and oversee personalised care plans for renal patients.
  • Conduct and monitor dialysis treatments, ensuring machines and systems are prepared and functioning safely.
  • Review pre- and post-hemodialysis care with patients to assess progress and adjust plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (doctors, dieticians, social workers, etc.) to deliver coordinated care.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of all clinical activities.
  • Offer compassionate, holistic care—building trust with patients throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must:

  • Be an NMC Registered General Nurse.
  • Have a strong understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Demonstrate autonomy and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Bring a positive, dynamic, and patient-focused approach to care delivery.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Clinical experience in renal care is preferred, though not mandatory—we provide comprehensive training for all new recruits.


Training & Development

All new nurses complete an 8-week supernumerary training programme, supported by experienced Clinical Leads. You’ll also benefit from:

  • A supportive team structure (no "command and control" hierarchy—nurses and admins work collaboratively at different levels of the clinic).
  • Dedicated mentoring from a senior clinician within the unit.

  • Part-time flexibility (23 hours/week).
  • Steady hours (Mon-Sat), with no aftercare or night shifts.
