Vacancy Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our Children's Community Nursing Service, working across Hannah House and our Continuing Care & Health Short Breaks Team.
Our service provides specialist care to children and young people with highly complex health needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions. Working across both settings offers a unique opportunity to develop extensive clinical expertise whilst providing care in respite and community environments. Hannah House delivers 24-hour planned and emergency short-break care, while Continuing Care & Health Short Breaks provides specialist packages of care within children's own homes.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified nurses. A full induction programme, preceptorship and ongoing development opportunities will be provided to support your professional growth.
The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Access to transport with business insurance is essential.
There are 2 positions available – Permanent, 34.5 hours per week, Fixed Term until August 2027, 23 hours per week.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for children and young people with a wide range of complex and life-limiting conditions.

Working across Hannah House and community settings, you will deliver specialist nursing care including tracheostomy and ventilation care, enteral feeding, medication administration, central venous access care, moving and handling and ongoing clinical assessment. You will support children and young people to access meaningful activities and provide support, education and reassurance to families.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate shifts and care delivery, support and mentor colleagues and contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical practice across the service. We are looking for nurses who are compassionate, adaptable, organised and committed to delivering exceptional care.
