Staff Nurse (Medical Ward)
Location
Cromwell Hospital, 164–178 Cromwell Rd, London SW5 0TU
Contract
Full time – 37.5 hours per week (12-hour shifts, days and nights)
Salary
Up to £46,890 per annum, based on experience

About Cromwell Hospital
Nestled in Kensington, London, Cromwell Hospital is a privately owned, internationally recognised facility offering world-class care for adults and children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate optimal nursing care for patients.
- Ensure safe, consistent care throughout the patient journey, with an exceptional service mindset.
- Manage care for assigned patients and deputise for Senior Staff Nurses when needed.
- Lead by example—uphold the highest clinical standards for staff.
- Recognise and act on DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards), capacity assessments, and safeguarding concerns.
- Master emergency procedures, including cardiac arrest and fire protocols.
- Administer and store medications safely, adhering to NMC Standards and hospital protocols.
- Forge strong relationships with consultants, respecting specialist protocols.
- Link Nurse role with reporting obligations and training updates.

What We’re Looking For
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an NMC PIN required.
- ILS (Immediate Life Support) qualification essential.
- Experience in a hospital medical ward setting (preferably acute).
- Competency in:
- Wound care
- Venepuncture & cannulation
- Tracheostomy management
- Indwelling catheterisation & nasogastric tube insertion
- Risk assessment
- Immunisation training + expert experience in manufacturer methods.
- Previous Staff Nurse experience in Outpatients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written & verbal).
