Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for one motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to join our dynamic inpatient mental health team at Woodview, Mental Health Inpatient Hospital.

Our inpatient service provides high-quality, recovery-focused care to adults experiencing acute mental health difficulties. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based interventions in a safe, therapeutic environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic nurses who are committed to delivering person-centred care and promoting recovery, dignity, and respect for all service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care to patients within the inpatient setting
  • Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and risk assessments
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate person-centred care plans
  • Administer medication in accordance with NMC and Trust policies
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
  • Promote recovery-focused and trauma-informed practice
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in ward-based therapeutic activities and interventions
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive ward environment

You Will

  • Be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration
  • Demonstrate a passion for inpatient mental health care
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgement and risk management skills
  • Be committed to continuous professional development

Newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply and will be supported through a structured preceptorship programme.
