Staff Nurse - CHAS at Home
Exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse to work in our CHAS at Home team based in Aberdeen, working with families in the community to enable the best possible care experience!
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children’s Nurse with a proven track record of providing exceptional care and skill in nursing practice, to join our Aberdeen CHAS at Home Team as a Staff Nurse.
As part of this growing team, you’ll contribute to the development and expansion of our at-home services in the North of Scotland, working in close collaboration with the CHAS Diana Children’s Nurse, NHS and local teams across Aberdeen City and Shire.
Our team in the North is on a transformative journey, guided by a new strategic plan shaped by the voices of the children and families we serve. With their needs at the heart of everything we do, we are confident this approach will provide tailored, exceptional care where it’s needed most.

- Commitment to support maintenance of your acute clinical skills, through offering rotation opportunities where you will work alongside our Diana Children’s Nurses in the Hospital.
- Flexible shift rota, full time staff usually work 3 shifts over a 7 day self-serve rota, with a minimum of 3-4 unsociable shifts per 4 weeks (nights and weekends). Staff can request 4 days off per 4 weeks and then select shifts which would suit best (subject to the needs of the service).

About You

- First level registered and paediatric qualified nurse, all applicants will need to provide a valid UK NMC pin.
- Experience in a nursing role, working with children, young people and their families.
- Experience of prioritising a busy workload and demonstrating good time management skills
- Appetite to contribute to positive change to this service, and commitment to delivering care with empathy and compassion.
- Driving licence and access to a car as this role requires travel across the community.
It Would Be Great If You Also Had
- Experience in working with children who have complex or life-limiting conditions
- Up to date mandatory training
