Role: Paediatric Staff Nurse – Outpatients

Site: Elstree Waterfront Outpatients Centre, part of The Wellington Hospital

Full time: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week, shifts between 0800-2000 (can consider long-days or short days) and two Saturdays per month (0800-1300)

Permanent: Yes

Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on skills and experience, including benefits such as private healthcare

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Staff Nurse to join our Wellington Team at the Elstree Waterfront Outpatient's Centre, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

As a Paediatric Staff Nurse in the Outpatient department, you’ll be working as a skilled member of the nursing team, providing a high standard of holistic family centred care to children, young adults and families. Assessing children's nursing needs, taking into account their medical, social, cultural and family circumstances.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality, family-centred care to children and young people, working closely with families and the wider multidisciplinary team. You’ll assess, plan and provide care independently while ensuring patient safety, dignity and wellbeing at all times. You’ll support service development, participate in audits and safeguarding, and contribute to the smooth running of both paediatric and adult outpatient clinics, including supporting colleagues and maintaining an efficient, safe clinical environment.

Please note, this site is based in Outer London with free on-site parking, making it ideal for candidates who drive or are located locally due to limited public transport links.

What You’ll Bring

Registered Children’s Nurse – with valid NMC pin (children’s register) Minimum of at least 6 months’ experience post registration in the UK Awareness of Child Protection issues – Safeguarding level 3 training Paediatric ILS
