Senior Registered Nurse (Specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder Service) – Shepperd’s Way, Brookmans Park

Critical: Minimum 12 Months’ Post-Qualification Experience Required

This role is ideal for an experienced NHS or private sector Registered Nurse who wants to build specialist skills in treating children and young people (12–18) with inpatient eating disorders. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving lives while benefiting from a supportive, well-being-focused workplace.


Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Specialist Inpatient Registered Nurse, you’ll ensure children and young people receive high-quality, compassionate care while fostering a positive team environment. Your day-to-day includes:

  • Providing expert nursing care, adapting to the dynamic demands of an inpatient eating disorder service.
  • Supporting a child and young people’s mental health via assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Mentoring and collaborating with your team to create a respectful, professional workplace.
  • Monitoring, recording, and reporting changes in service users’ conditions accurately and promptly.
  • Contributing to tailored treatment programmes that meet individual needs.

Requirements & Experience

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Relevant nursing registration (RMN/RNLD/RGN)
  • NHS or private healthcare experience (post-qualification experience, minimum 12 months required)
