An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and enthusiastic qualified Band 5 Staff Nurse (Registered Adult) to work within the Neuro Rehabilitation inpatient service on Ward 3, Walkergate Park.
The service supports individuals who have sustained an acquired brain injury, who present with a range of physical, cognitive, communication and emotional problems. We aim to provide a welcoming environment that is suitable for people who require assessment and/or rehabilitation.
Successful applicants must have:
- A strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe patient care.
- An interest in working within Neurological care in a challenging but rewarding environment.
You will work in a highly supportive team and will be encouraged to access training opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a Primary/Named Nurse within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, and needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Provide excellent professional, skilled and effective person-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
- Be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.
- Be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.
- Contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the education and development of the workforce and students.
- Contribute to staff appraisals and support personal development plans.
- Safely administer medication following Trust policies and practice guidelines.
- Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
