Band 5 Staff Nurse – In-Patient Physical Health Rehabilitation
Brackley Community Hospital, Northamptonshire
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, working over a 24/7 rota basis.
About the Role & Hospital
Brackley Community Hospital is a recent inpatient facility (opened March 2021) located in southern Northamptonshire. The ward is part of a broader multi-service hub, requiring nurses who are adaptive, collaborative, and open to expanding their interdisciplinary working across physical health services and local communities.
Join a highly skilled team comprising:
- Doctors (medics)
- Nurses
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational therapists
All hands are on deck in this ward-based setup, ensuring patients receive personalised care – each in single rooms. The hospital is one of five community hospitals within Northamptonshire, working in concert to share best practice and align care for the local population.
As a Staff Nurse, you’ll be instrumental in shaping this new inpatient hospital and ward team. Your input will shape this emerging environment towards high performance, fostering excellence in care from the very start.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
