Staff Nurse
Senior Healthcare Assessor (Fixed Term/Secondment) – Mold Hospital
Job Overview
This is a fixed-term/secondment role for 12 months until 31.07.27 due to maternity leave.

Mold Hospital is a bustling community hospital at the heart of the local community. We deliver high-standard patient and relative care, prioritising closer-to-home support. Discharge planning from admission ensures patients are safely returned home as early as possible.
Here, we champion home-first principles, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to implement discharge-to-access principles alongside our Community Resource Team.

The hospital operates two wards, each caring for 20 patients. Staff are encouraged to grow professionally.
Main Duties of the Role
- Welsh Students: Must apply via Streamlining (where all jobs are listed)
- Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with teams to meet patient and family needs
- Assistance in clinical area management, including education, development, and supervision of staff
- Work flexibly with nursing teams, healthcare support workers (HCSWs), domestics, and administration staff to deliver high-quality patient care, prioritising needs

1. Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
- NMC registered
Desirable
- Evidence of post-registration study (e.g., POVA, Child Protection, Intermediate Life Support)
2. Experience
Essential
- Pre-registration clinical experience in direct nursing care
- Experience in holistic nursing care
- Commitment to skill development
Desirable
- In-depth clinical governance understanding
- Genuine use of evidence-based practice
- Experience in palliative/terminal care
3. Skills and Competencies

- Conflict-resolution in contract of care agreements
- Clear, accurate medical documentation
- Knowledge of consent processes
