About the Role

- Apply commercial awareness to evaluate tradeoffs, prioritize effectively, and propose cost-efficient solutions.
- Support product partners in clearly communicating value delivered by the team.
Delivery
- Break down complex initiatives into iterative, value-focused slices to unlock early learning.
- Facilitate high-quality planning, estimation, and refinement activities.
- Champion agile delivery practices and help the team improve predictability and flow.
- Communicate strategy, risks, and technical concepts clearly and concisely to all audiences.

Engineering Practices
- Write excellent, maintainable, and testable code; set high-quality standards.
- Lead design discussions considering scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Guide testing strategy for complex journeys.
- Influence secure development practices.
Operations
- Lead by example in building and running highly reliable, production-ready systems.
- Drive improvements in observability, alerting, incident management, and operational readiness.
- Support and guide the team during incidents, maintaining clarity under pressure.
- Ensure operational considerations are embedded into design decisions.
- Promote learning from incidents and prioritize resulting improvements.
Engineering Community
- Coach and mentor engineers across teams, contributing to capability uplift.
- Share innovations, patterns, and best practices across ENSEK’s engineering community.
- Contribute to community forums, guilds, and strategic engineering initiatives.
- Promote and uphold ENSEK’s engineering values and culture.
