About Ping Identity
At Ping Identity, we believe in making digital experiences both secure and seamless for all users, without compromise. We call this digital freedom. And it's not just something we provide our customers. It's something that inspires our company. People don't come here to join a culture that's built on digital freedom. They come to cultivate it.
Our intelligent, cloud identity platform lets people shop, work, bank, and interact wherever and however they want. Without friction. Without fear.
While protecting digital identities is at the core of our technology, protecting individual identities is at the core of our culture. We champion every identity. One of our core values, Respect Individuality, reminds us to celebrate differences so you are empowered to bring your authentic self to work.
We're headquartered in Denver, Colorado and we have offices and employees around the globe. We serve the largest, most demanding enterprises worldwide, including more than half of the Fortune 100. At Ping Identity, we're changing the way people and businesses think about cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management.
We're seeking an accomplished staff software engineer to join our Authorize team and help drive the development of our industry-leading authorization and access control products.
Our products address complex use cases, and you'll create solutions that manage this complexity elegantly. You're comfortable asking questions to colleagues at all levels within the organization, to find the information you need and ensure that we are solving the right problem.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UX, and SRE colleagues to define requirements and design new features, components, APIs, and microservices.
- Lead feature development from discovery through to production, including technical design, implementation, review, testing, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Make technical decisions that balance product needs, engineering quality, performance, security, and delivery constraints.
- Work on products offered to customers as either SaaS or on-premise software.
- Help raise engineering standards by mentoring others through code reviews, technical feedback, design discussions, pairing, and knowledge-sharing.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within an agile delivery team.
- Participate in an on-call support rota for a multi-tenant SaaS product.
- Work remotely, with 1-2 days per month in an Edinburgh-based office.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
