Dex

Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit.

The role

This company runs a global tax automation platform, backed by leading investors, with significant ARR. They're tackling genuinely complex regulatory problems, a high-leverage domain for AI. Think multi-jurisdiction edge cases, deep structured compliance data, and real-time decisions for enterprise customers.

You'd join an early-stage AI initiative, shaping how LLMs and agentic systems are applied across the product. There's no entrenched AI org or pre-baked playbook. This isn't a research role disconnected from production; you'll build and ship, with a real mandate to embed AI into core engineering values.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The work

  • Design the backend services powering new AI workflows across the platform.
  • Optimise prompts and develop agent platforms for both internal and customer-facing applications.
  • Build the evaluation pipelines that keep models honest and ensure accuracy in a high-stakes domain.
  • Prototype intelligent workflows, natural language interfaces, and agent-driven experiences that simplify complex tax problems.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years building customer-facing products at a high-quality software company, with end-to-end ownership.
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and AI safety/security – production scar tissue, not lab time.
  • Experience building RAG architectures in production and designing the evaluation pipelines that keep them honest.
  • Strong product instincts combined with technical depth; you can argue for a model choice in commercial as well as accuracy terms.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, experimenting quickly, and shipping iteratively in a domain that's still being defined.
