Dex

Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit.

The Role

AI for regulated industries needs to be accurate, explainable, and auditable. This company is solving that with a neurosymbolic approach, combining large language models with a proprietary symbolic engine. Their technology is already live with tier-1 banks and leading accountancy firms, and they're now building a public API platform to scale those capabilities more broadly.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll make foundational architecture decisions for this new public API platform – covering authentication, versioning, scalability, and developer experience. This isn't a role where the architecture is already decided; you'll be solving genuinely novel problems like representing regulatory knowledge as machine-evaluable rules and building feedback loops for accuracy. You'll work in a high-calibre team, influencing the engineering bar org-wide, not just shipping tickets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
