The role
This isn't another AI startup building a chatbot. This company acquires profitable, mission-critical B2B SaaS businesses, then deploys a proprietary AI operating system across them. The system ingests vast amounts of operational data – from CRM to financial records – to encode best practices and layer autonomous agents on top, automating sales, onboarding, and customer success workflows. They're well-funded by leading investors, with a founding team from top-tier engineering and frontier AI research backgrounds.
You'll join a small, rapidly scaling engineering team (currently four, growing to ten) and own the hardest end-to-end problems on the core platform. This is a Staff Software Engineer role focused purely on technical leadership and deep problem-solving, not people management. You'll design the architecture for a system that scales across dozens of diverse businesses, working directly with the CTO and Engineering Lead to set technical direction. This seat is for a force multiplier who raises the bar through code and mentorship, not someone looking to manage a team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
