This includes build workflows, Platform Toolkit, and other tools essential for developers seeking seamless cross-platform experiences, from mobile to console, desktop, and XR.

Rooted in deep knowledge of engine technology, OS APIs, and hardware partnerships, this senior role crafts the cross-platform roadmap while working alongside Unity’s engineering teams. Responsibilities include gathering actionable feedback, driving strategic investments, and aligning technology investments with global developer and hardware demands.

About the Role

The Staff Technical Product Manager, Cross-Platform is a defining voice within Unity’s suite of technologies designed for creators worldwide. This position seeks:

  • To future-proof Unity’s capabilities, ensuring developers can deliver engaging experiences seamlessly across the full breadth of platforms.
  • To collaborate closely with customers, platform teams, and engineering, transforming feedback and market trends into impactful prioritization.
  • To bridge gaps between Unity’s technical and strategic objectives, translating complex technical visions into clear strategies for leadership and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Vision & Roadmap Leadership

  • Own the cross-platform roadmap, identifying where Unity must invest to support seamless, high-value developer experiences across all platforms.
  • Work with executive teams to ensure technical innovations stay aligned with Unity’s vision and industry shifts.
  • Negotiate with key partners (mobile carriers, hardware manufacturers, OS vendors, etc.) to shape Unity’s adaptability and competitiveness.

Product Discovery & Execution

  • Lead customer-facing initiatives, discovering emerging needs and defining requirements for both your platform vertical and the broader Unity ecosystem.
  • Validate technical requirements through collaboration with customers, engineering, and cross-platform teams to ensure alignment with real-world demands.
  • Translate product goals from technical jargon into clear, actionable assumptions for non-engineering stakeholders, including executives and external teams.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Serve as a connective tissue across Unity’s platform teams, ensuring acrylic team concerns are surfaced, aligned, and addressed in planning cycles.
  • Mediate between engineering teams, developer expectations, and business objectives, driving long-term platform growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, advising Unity’s leadership on cross-platform opportunities, technical feasibility, and position within the broader industry landscape.

Strategic Communication & Program Implementation

  • Speak clearly to non-technical audiences, distilling complex technical and platform challenges into effective narratives for leadership forums, partnerships, and public documentation.
  • Partner with marketing teams to define and shape go-to-market strategies and messaging for cross-platform releases.
  • Evaluate trends and data, leveraging complex datasets to determine ideal paths for product investments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
