Stairlift Engineer Jobs in Birmingham at Stannah – Join the Team!

About Stannah

Stannah is a family-owned manufacturing and engineering company specialising in helping people and goods move safely in and around homes and buildings. Founded in Joseph Stannah in 1867, the business is now global, with products including:

  • Stairlifts
  • Lifts and escalators

The fifth generation of the Stannah family remains hands-on in running the business, making it a distinct family-run enterprise in the lift industry.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Stairlift Engineer to join our service team in Birmingham and surrounding areas.

As a market-leading family-run business, Stannah offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced engineers to develop their skills within the domestic lift industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and on-site call-out visits for stairlifts and home lifts.
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards in all services performed.
  • Perform risk assessments and complete site log cards as required.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, with standby allowance and call-out payments on top of a competitive salary.
  • Exercise autonomy in managing your service route, covering a wide range of products.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
