Stakeholder and Key Account Manager
Shaw Trust Promotes Team Spirit, Inclusiveness and It Is an Organisation Where Everybody Is Somebody. I Am Proud to Be Part of This Great Organisation.
At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.
For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.
About The Role
Our Learning & Skills division has ambitious plans for growth, and apprenticeships are a major part of that journey. We are now looking for a commercially driven, relationship-led Stakeholder and Key Account Manager to help us grow our employer portfolio, strengthen our national partnerships and build long-term, high-value employer relationships.
This is not a passive account management role. It is a role for someone who enjoys proactive sales opening doors, building trust, spotting opportunity and turning employer conversations into meaningful skills solutions.
You will work with large employers, key accounts and strategic partners to understand workforce needs, identify skills gaps and create apprenticeship solutions that support business growth, talent development and social impact. You will play a central role in growing our apprenticeship offer across priority areas including business, customer service, HR, people development and careers-related professional pathways.
This is an exciting time to join Ixion. We have strong foundations, a respected national brand and a clear growth plan for the year ahead. We are looking for someone who can help take our employer offer to the next level.
You will be responsible for developing senior-level employer relationships, growing existing accounts and generating new business opportunities across national and regional markets. You will use insight, labour market intelligence and a consultative approach to help employers understand how apprenticeships can support succession planning, workforce development, retention and future growth.
You will also work closely with internal teams across Learning & Skills to ensure employer opportunities are converted into high-quality apprenticeship starts and sustainable partnerships.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
