Who are RECCo?

We are an independent, non-profit organisation responsible for the Retail Energy Code — a key part of how the GB retail energy market is regulated.

But we don’t just manage rules. We look ahead, not just react, helping the market change in the right way. We deliver secure digital services, clear governance, and practical solutions that protect consumers, support innovation, and help the energy system move towards net zero.

What you’ll be doing

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated strategic stakeholder engagement and communications professional who is passionate about building relationships, creating meaningful engagement opportunities and helping organisations navigate change.

This is a highly visible role that sits at the centre of RECCo's engagement with the energy industry. You will work with stakeholders across energy suppliers, networks, service providers, consumer groups, trade bodies and regulators, helping to strengthen relationships, build trust and ensure stakeholder perspectives are reflected in RECCo's decision-making and future plans.

You will lead the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communications strategies for some of RECCo's most important programmes and initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are informed, engaged and able to shape outcomes throughout the lifecycle of projects and change programmes.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, relationship builder and facilitator, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels, translating complex information into meaningful conversations and creating opportunities for collaboration.

Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of RECCo's stakeholder engagement and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the energy sector, acting as a trusted and credible representative of RECCo.
  • Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies, communication plans and consultation approaches, for strategic programmes, industry initiatives and organisational change projects, that support successful delivery and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Work closely with the communications function to brief requirements for integrated multi-channel communication campaigns, webinars, events, webpage content and other stakeholder-facing materials, ensuring activity is aligned with programme objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen stakeholder relationships, improve engagement and increase participation across RECCo's activities.
  • Responsible for the planning, co-ordination, and delivery of the Annual Stakeholder Satisfaction survey, on time and to budget, working closely with Operations and Communications colleagues.
  • Work closely with the Events & PR Manager to facilitate RECCo at industry events, forums and working groups.
  • Design and co-ordinate the facilitation of presentations, workshops, roundtables, advisory groups and stakeholder forums to gather insight, encourage collaboration and support decision-making, whilst acting as an ambassador for the organisation.
  • Capture, analyse and interpret stakeholder feedback and industry insight, using findings to inform business planning, service improvements and future engagement activity.
  • Lead RECCo's stakeholder insight and relationship management activities, including ownership and continuous development of the Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM) system. Conduct stakeholder mapping and influence analysis, partnering with programme and project leads to embed effective stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle and support successful delivery against programme and organisational objectives.
  • Develop executive-level stakeholder briefings, engagement plans, reports and presentations to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Proactively monitor developments across the energy sector and identify emerging stakeholders, issues, risks and opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
