Hallmark Exhibitions designs and builds exhibition stands that combine visual impact with measurable results. Based in Staffordshire and operating across the UK and Europe, the company specializes in beMatrix systems and custom builds that blend modular innovation with bespoke craftsmanship. Hallmark focuses on creating bold, strategic exhibition environments that help brands stand out and attract attention. From initial concept through to final installation, teams collaborate to deliver technical excellence, creative solutions, and smooth project execution. The mission is to make every client’s brand unmissable while consistently raising the standard of exhibition design and build.

Role Description

The Stand Builder is a full-time, on-site role based in Tamworth, responsible for the construction and installation of exhibition stands and structures. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role involves:

  • Preparing materials
  • Loading and unloading equipment
  • Supporting the installation and dismantling of stands at venues across the UK and Europe

The Stand Builder collaborates closely with designers, project managers, and other build team members to solve on-site challenges and maintain a clean, safe working environment. Occasional early starts, late finishes, and travel to events may be required, with a focus on reliable attendance and professional conduct.

Qualifications

  • Practical construction and fabrication skills, including experience with hand and power tools, basic carpentry, and safe material handling.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, measurements, and build plans with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • On-site installation experience in exhibitions, events, shopfitting, or a similar environment, with familiarity in modular stand systems (beMatrix experience is an advantage).
  • Good physical fitness and stamina, including the ability to lift, carry, and assemble components and work on ladders or access equipment safely.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards, including safe working practices, use of PPE, and compliance with site and venue regulations.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel and work flexible hours around exhibition schedules.
  • Previous experience in exhibitions, events, construction, or joinery is preferred; relevant vocational training or apprenticeship is beneficial.
