As a Standards & Controls Engineer, you’ll collaborate across engineering and operations functions to design, deploy, and optimise industrial control systems in high-volume manufacturing environments. This role suits an engineer with hands-on experience in industrial automation, manufacturing systems, and control technologies, ideally with exposure to automotive or similar production settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end delivery of control systems from early specification, design, through to commissioning and full production deployment.
- Act as the technical interface between engineering, IT, and operations teams, ensuring seamless integration of manufacturing systems.
- Provide hands-on support during commissioning phases, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring stable, reliable system operation in live production environments.
- Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to align technical delivery with cost, quality, and deadlines.
- Maintain engineering standards, system documentation, and interface definitions across automated manufacturing workflows.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within production control and automation systems.
- Ensure systems remain reliable, compliant, and operationally aligned with business requirements.

Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with industrial control systems from specification to deployment.
- Strong background in manufacturing automation or production engineering environments.
- Practical hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics systems, CNC programming, or machine electrical design.
- Ability to support commissioning and resolve technical issues in production settings.
- Collaborative experience across engineering, IT, and operations teams.
- Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes and automated production systems.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience, e.g., military training).
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to automotive manufacturing or high-volume industrial environments.
- Familiarity with advanced robotics or automation systems.
- Experience working with suppliers in engineering delivery contexts.
- Knowledge of control system architecture and industrial interface standards.
- Understanding of commissioning, validation, or industrial acceptance testing.
