Role Overview
As a Static Mechanical Maintenance Engineer holding a recognised qualification (City & Guilds), you will manage scheduled Planned Maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Reporting to the Contracts Manager
- Collaborating with all departments to execute planned preventative maintenance
- Handling emergency maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and fabric plant equipment, alongside general property maintenance

Provided:
- Mobile phone, tablet, and uniform
Key Responsibilities
- Travel between client sites (Walthamstow, Hendon, and London) to maintain and repair mechanical building services equipment
- Work on HVAC systems, pumps, motors, boilers, pipework, and associated plant
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
- Diagnose faults and generate service reports using tablets
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience & Knowledge
- Technical expertise in mechanical pipework, valves, motors, pumps, bearings, HVAC plant & equipment
- Proven track record in the general building services industry (e.g., plumbing repairs)
- Recognised qualification in Maintenance/Engineering disciplines (e.g., City & Guilds)
- Ability to repair/replace plant, fixtures, and fittings as needed
- Experience with servicing and maintenance of onsite plant and fittings
- Aptitude for organisational tasks and arrangement coordination

Personal Traits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in IT systems (including PMAs)
- Mechanical and plumbing knowledge
- Familiarity with Facilities Management (FM) requirements
- Experience with Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, able to work independently or within teams
- Ability to diagnose issues methodically
