Your role

The Station Manager UK, team Service Operations, plays a crucial role in shaping Fastned's customer experience. This position is central to ensuring safe operations, immaculate presentation, optimal functionality, and full compliance to operational obligations of Fastned charging stations within a designated geographical territory. It embodies our unwavering commitment to quality, cleanliness, and operational excellence. The Station Manager will report into the local Senior Operations Manager, and act as their right arm on all these matters.

This role's scope is all of our 37+ stations in the UK. You will be based in London, where we hold offices in Shoreditch with frequent visits to our warehouse in Stockton and sites across the UK.

Your responsibilities

Operational Compliance & Performance

  • Contractual Adherence: Track compliance to contractual agreements, local regulatory requirements, and Fastned's rigorous internal operational guidelines. Ensure that all station operations and facilities strictly comply with them. Proactively coordinate major tender openings and liaise with other internal stakeholders to ensure operational compliance from Day 1.
  • Operational Performance & Customer Experience: Ensure we regularly monitor and take action on issues regarding station equipment, cleanliness, station aesthetics and season readiness. Monitor queuing, flag upgrade and extension opportunities based on performance insights. Proactively act on any identified topic that might benefit customer experience.

Performance Reporting & Data Management

  • Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all subcontracted activities, reported issues, and their resolution statuses. Ensure consistent data quality and analysis across all reporting systems to support accurate performance insights and decision-making. Generate and provide regular, comprehensive updates to relevant management teams, landlords, and authorities when needed.

Local Supplier & Stakeholder management

  • Key Internal Local Liaison: Serve as a local point of contact for all routine matters related to our stations. Actively communicate and coordinate with teammates within the maintenance team. Cultivate strong relationships with other internal teams and provide regular feedback to shed light on actual customer experience and maintenance constraints.
  • Key External Local Liaison: Set up contracts with multiple local third parties. Follow up on operational performance, health & safety compliance and improvements opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement Input: Provide invaluable on-the-ground observations, feedback, and insights. Proactively contribute to the ongoing refinement of station design, operational protocols, choice of equipment and overall customer experience or maintenance enhancements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
