Role: Statistical Analyst (Fully Remote)
Locations: United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, or Argentina (Remote Hybrid Flexible)
Role Overview
One of our clients is hiring Statistics Experts to teach AI how to interpret and solve complex quantitative problems. As a domain expert, you will:
- Create rigorous analytical prompts to challenge AI models
- Evaluate model responses for statistical accuracy
- Ensure cutting-edge AI maintains the highest standards of quantitative reasoning on a flexible, fully remote schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the factuality and relevance of domain-specific text produced by AI models
- Craft challenging analytical prompts for statistical problems
- Write expert-level answers in Statistics to refine model training
- Evaluate and rank AI-generated responses based on accuracy
- Review and correct AI-generated chains of thought for statistical precision
- Provide clear, actionable written feedback on quantitative reasoning and methodology
- Collaborate with the Outlier expert community to establish quality standards

Required Skills
- Ability to write clearly and precisely about Statistics in fluent English
- Strong analytical reasoning with rigorous attention to quantitative details
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment
Required Qualifications
- Education in one of the following:
- Statistics
- Biostatistics
- Mathematical Statistics
- Applied Mathematics
- Econometrics
- Data Science
- Operations Research
- Machine Learning with a statistical focus
- Quantitative Psychology
- Relevant professional experience as:
- A statistician
- Biostatistician
- Data scientist
- Quantitative researcher
- Or in a comparable technical/analytical role

Compensation
- Rate: Up to $150 USD/hr
- Payment: Weekly via supported platforms (PayPal, AirTM)
