ABOUT YOU:
You are a detail-oriented finance professional who is ACA/ACCA part-qualified or AAT qualified, with experience supporting audits and working in a strong control environment. You have excellent communication skills, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Required skills and experience:
- Part qualified professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) or AAT qualified
- Proven experience of planning, preparing, and reviewing audits
- Experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of working in a strong Control environment and enforcing compliance against that framework
- Must be enthusiastic, personable, and have excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Independent problem-solver/decision-maker; works without significant guidance. Able to identify root causes of issues and develop solutions to resolve issues efficiently
- Must be a strong technical accountant with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on deadlines, demonstrating good organizational skills
- Experience in using a Finance ERP system and strong Excel skills. Experience with IBM Cognos Controller, PeopleSoft, or Sun Systems would be advantageous
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Senior Reporting Accountant, you'll support the delivery of accurate statutory accounts and regulatory filings across UK entities. Working closely with tax, treasury, and audit teams, you'll help ensure compliance, support audits, contribute to process improvements, and gain valuable exposure to a broad range of technical accounting activities.

- Support the on-time, accurate production of Statutory Accounts across UK entities, reporting into the Senior Reporting Accountant
- Prepare statutory filings, including VAT, P11D, PSA, and Overseas Branch tax workings
- Act as a secondary point of contact for tax queries and liaise with Group Tax teams to resolve audit-related queries
- Support the rollout of regulatory and statutory changes across the UK, including IFRS 16
- Assist with treasury management, including ICO loan/funding requests and dividend payment planning
- Support transfer pricing queries and the Legal Entity Rationalisation programme
- Support internal and external audit activity, including liaison with auditors and Site Business Line Directors/Managers
- Support routine CMC reporting and remediation, and assist with UK audits of CMC compliance
- Help issue technical guidance and policy documents, and support compliance checks against legislative and policy changes
- Assist with balance sheet audit and compliance reviews
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring open items are cleared timely; Reviewing the recs performed by peers and supporting clearance of open items
- Manage special projects undertaken by the team on process improvement and support the statutory reporting team with audit requests
