Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Statutory Inspection Engineer role based in Bradwell. The Statutory Inspection Engineer will carry out statutory examinations and inspections of lifting equipment, steel wire ropes, and associated accessories in line with relevant legislation and company procedures. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients, providing technical guidance, and promoting best practices in lifting and fall arrest safety.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of lifting equipment, steel wire ropes, and safety systems, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience conducting statutory inspections, testing, and certification in accordance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER or equivalent).
  • Competence in documenting inspection results, preparing clear reports, and maintaining accurate records using digital tools or inspection software.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety principles, risk assessment, and safe working practices in industrial and engineering environments.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, site personnel, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently on-site, manage time effectively, and adapt to different industrial locations and operating conditions.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical, industrial, or related discipline; industry certifications for lifting inspection are highly beneficial.
  • Full valid driving license and willingness to travel locally as required for site-based inspections.
  • Previous experience in lifting, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, or similar sectors is advantageous.
