Location Ipswich IP1 2BX, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3YU, or Lowestoft NR33 0EQ – Hybrid working Salary: £34,434 per annum (pro rata part-time) Hours: 37 hrs – Flexible working available Contract: Permanent Office requirement: minimum 40% in-office based on service needs

Every child and young person deserves the opportunity to achieve their potential. As a Statutory SEND Services Coordinator (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), you’ll play a critical role in ensuring children and young people receive tailored support to thrive.
Working directly for families and young people, you’ll help shape decisions impacting their education, safeguarding, and future. This role demands resilience, empathy, and problem-solving—balancing competing demands while prioritising the best outcomes for children and their families.

Responsibilities
You will:
- Coordinate EHC (Education, Health and Care Plan) Annual Reviews, meeting strict statutory deadlines
- Manage a complex caseload, prioritising multiple demands with professional judgement
- Act as a trusted link professional for families, fostering relationships and clarity
- Ensure children’s views are central in all decisions (inclusive advocacy)
- Collaborate across education, health, social care, and partner agencies
- Identify and mitigate risk, safeguarding child welfare as a priority

Requirements
We seek a practitioner with:

The Team
The Statutory SEND Service leads on statutory duties under the 2014 Children and Families Act and SEND Code of Practice to ensure quality outcomes. This team plays a critical role in Suffolk’s support ecosystem for children and their families—delivering a holistic approach across education, health, and care.
