Steam Boiler and Cooling Tower Engineer

Maintenance Engineer for Steam Boilers and Cooling Towers

Role: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week) Location: Scotland (offices + site-based support)


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer specialising in steam boilers and cooling towers to join our growing team at PTSG Water Treatment. This is a varied, field-based role within a rapidly expanding water safety and treatment leader across the UK.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Installation & Commissioning: Set up and commission pre-treatment systems, including water softeners, filtration units, and reverse osmosis systems.
  • System Maintenance: Conduct regular and preventative maintenance on steam boilers, cooling towers, and closed systems—including chemical treatment and full servicing.
  • Technical Support: Undertake site surveys, perform water quality tests, and troubleshoot technical faults to optimise system performance and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Essential:
    • A proven background in water treatment chemistry and boiler/cooling tower maintenance.
    • Hands-on experience operating and servicing steam boilers, cooling towers, and pre-treatment systems.
    • Competency in water quality analysis and chemical treatment administration.
    • A full UK driving licence is mandatory for site travel.
