STEM Teaching Assistant - What The Role Involves

  • Supporting teachers across Science, Mathematics, and Technology to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Working with small groups to reinforce core STEM concepts and close gaps in understanding
  • Assisting with practical lesson preparation and supporting pupils safely in laboratory settings
  • Tracking pupil progress and feeding back regularly to class teachers
  • Building enthusiastic relationships with pupils to develop their confidence and curiosity in STEM

STEM Teaching Assistant - What the School is Looking For

The ideal STEM Teaching Assistant will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university in any STEM discipline. Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a curious, versatile, and proactive STEM Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for STEM education.
