Process Technician (Sterile Services) – Wetherby HSSU Hub – Bank-Ad Hoc

Location: Wetherby, Wetherby HSSU Hub, LS23 7FA | Department: Sterile Services

Rate: £12.84 per hour | Weekends: 20% pay premium (Saturdays & Sundays, 8am–4pm)

What you’ll do as a Decontamination Process Technician

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing surgery instruments:

    • Dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, and sterilising medical instruments for theatre use
    • Maintaining a spotless, compliant environment for sterile processes
  • Equipment checks & maintenance:

    • Inspecting tools for damage daily
    • Reporting or resolving 任何故障
    • Ensuring all instruments stay ready for immediate use
  • Problem-solving & teamwork:

    • Working alongside a collaborative team
    • Following strict quality control protocols
    • Escalating issues following your organisation’s policies
  • Training & documentation:

    • Participating in necessary training
    • Keeping accurate records (logs, inspections, maintenance)
    • Ensuring full compliance with sterile services guidelines

Requirements

Essential Qualities & Skills

  • Theme-specific experience welcome but not mandatory—previously worked in sterile services is advantageous, but prior general healthcare or trades experience counts too.
  • Right mix of attitude and aptitude:
    • Precision and attention to detail – medical safety is non-negotiable.
    • Team player – collaborative ethos will drive you forward.
    • Problem solver – ready to troubleshoot issues on the spot.
    • Good communication – articulate enough to ensure smooth work practices.

Must-Have:
