Working Pattern
- 12-week full-time training (Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:00)
- Permanent full-time contract (06:00–14:00, Monday–Sunday), including weekends (5 days per week)

- Preparing sterile supplies (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) through decontamination, inspection, assembly, and packing under predefined standards.
- Thoroughly checking, washing, laying up, and packing surgical instrument sets to meet contract requirements and quality benchmarks.
- Safely operating and monitoring equipment such as washers/disinfectors, ultrasonic processors, and sterilizers.
- Recording and logging repairs, missing instruments, or equipment issues using the SynergyTrak tracking system.
- Ensuring repaired or returned instruments are reclassified, stocked, or delivered to the appropriate set, department, or trust-designated person.

- Salary: £25,272 per annum, plus 5% performance bonus and generous shift allowances for overtime/unsociable hour pay (higher still if working in London).

Required Experience & Skills
Experience
- Educated to a good general standard with strong verbal and numerical ability.
Key Skills
- Basic end-user IT proficiency for operating tracking and traceability (SynergyTrak) systems.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
- Strong teamwork, accountability, and working under pressure.
- Attention to detail to meet rigorous hygiene and operational standards.
- Integrity and a commitment to patient safety.
