We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at an entry-level and receive world-class training to get you on to a defined career pathway.
About You

Training and Working Pattern
- 12 weeks of training
- The first few weeks: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
- Ongoing training:
- Shift hours: Monday – Friday, 3pm – 11pm
What You Will Do
- Following a highly regulated end-to-end sterilisation/decontamination process on surgical instruments used in operations for NHS and private hospitals to ensure they can be safely reused for the next patient
- Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (e.g. dressings, linen, surgical instruments, and equipment) by:
- Decontamination
- Inspection
- Assembly
- Packing within predefined quality standards
- Rigorously checking, washing, laying up, and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet client specifications
- Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment such as:
- Washer/disinfectors
- Ultrasonic units
- Sterilisers
- Recording and logging repairs, as well as missing instruments or equipment in the Tracking and Traceability system (SynergyTrak)
- Ensuring repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the correct coded sets for the Trust’s appointed person
