About the Role

Working Pattern
This role involves a rotating shift schedule:
- Week 1: 07:00 – 15:00
- Week 2: 12:00 – 20:00
- Weekend Rota: 08:00 – 16:00 (one weekend in four)
- When rostered for a weekend shift, you’ll receive one compensatory day off during the following week.
On-Call Duty is required—flexibility will be essential.

- Ensuring sterile consumables, dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment are prepared through decontamination, inspection, assembly, and packing to meet strict quality standards.
- Rigorously washing, laying-up, and packing theatre instruments to satisfy contract specifications.
- Operating and monitoring heavy-duty equipment:
- Washer/disinfectors
- Ultrasonic units
- Sterilisers
- Recording repairs, missing instruments, or equipment on SynergyTrak (STERIS’ tracking and traceability system).
- Ensuring repaired items are logged, tracked, and returned to inventory or allocated to the correct surgical sets.

About You
Required Experience
- Educated to a good general standard with strong verbal and numerical abilities.
- Basic IT proficiency to operate Sterile Services management systems.
