We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician vacancy. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity that includes world-class training and a defined career pathway.

Training and Working Pattern
- 12 weeks of professional training
- First weeks: Mon-Fri, 9:00am–5:00pm
- Subsequent training: During regular shift hours (Monday to Friday, 6:00pm–2:00am, 37.5 hours per week)
What You’ll Do
- Strictly follow regulated sterilisation/decontamination processes to safely reuse surgical instruments from NHS and private hospitals.
- Maintain sterile consumables—such as dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment—by decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and packing them to predefined quality standards.
- Check, wash, lay up, and pack theatre instrument sets accurately to meet contractual specifications.
- Operate and monitor machines efficiently, including:
- Washer/disinfectors
- Ultrasonic sterilizers
- Record and log repairs or missing instruments/equipment in the SynergyTrak Tracking & Tracability system.
- Ensure repaired items or equipment are returned to stock or correctly coded sets for the Trust’s use.

Required Experience
- Educational level: Good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
- IT Skills: Basic competency to use end-user tracking/traceability IT systems.
