Sterilising Services Training and Development Manager

Technical Officer Level 3 (Training and Development Manager) – Sterilising Services

Classification: PN 11741 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $89,760 – $100,632 plus 12.5% super Location: Canberra Hospital, Garran Closing Date: 16th July 2026 Section: Sterilising Services

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and organised Training and Development Manager with a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services to join our Sterilising Services Team.

In this role, you will:

  • Orient, train, and develop both new and existing staff, ensuring compliance with national standards and Canberra Health Services (CHS) policies.
  • Design, develop, and deliver education programs aligned with decontamination, reprocessing, and patient-focused service standards.
  • Support high-quality service delivery to all customers while managing training monitoring and compliance.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Before commencement, you must meet the following:

  • National Police Check
  • Compliance with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination policy.
  • Availability to rotate through a weekend/public holiday on-call roster (position primarily Monday–Friday, daytime hours).
