Within the Olympia destination, Hyatt Regency London Olympia will offer 204 bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, a welcoming lobby lounge and three meeting rooms, with direct connectivity to Pillar Hall and the International Convention Centre. As a new opening, the hotel presents an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and be part of the opening of a landmark new hotel.

Duties and responsibilities related to the Stewarding Team Leader role

  • Lead and supervise the stewarding team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency across all kitchen areas.
  • Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, maintaining strict hygiene standards at all times.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of dishwashing areas, including correct use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Support the coordination of shifts, task allocation, and team productivity during service.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and organising deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage practices.
  • Monitor waste management and recycling processes, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Train, coach, and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Work closely with chefs and kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations during busy service periods.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and company standards at all times.

About You

  • Previous experience in a kitchen porter or stewarding role, with some supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach with high attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Positive attitude, reliable, and committed to supporting team success.
