Stock and Administrative Clerk – Permanent Full-Time Role

Pay Rate: £28,500 to £32,000 Grade: P Location: Gloucester Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts, 5 days from 7 hours (to be finalised at interview)


About the Role

We need a Stock & Administrative Clerk to ensure our operations run seamlessly—keeping inventory accurate, coordinating shipments, and supporting team efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

This role includes a wide range of essential tasks to maintain smooth warehouse operations:

✔ Stock & Inventory Management

  • Accurately process stock movements, goods received, and dispatch documentation, ensuring records match the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Conduct stock checks, cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to optimise accuracy and efficiency.

✔ Documentation & Coordination

  • Prepare and manage delivery notes, purchase orders, invoices, and transport paperwork.
  • Liaise with warehouse operatives, transport teams, suppliers, and customers to troubleshoot and expedite deliveries.

✔ Administrative Support

  • Generate supply chain reports and update Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, quality control procedures, and company policies.

✔ Problem-Solving & Collaboration

  • Quickly diagnose and resolve stock-related queries to maintain seamless workflow.
  • Work collaboratively to uphold operational excellence and meet deadlines.

Ideal Candidate

This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy:

  • Outstanding organisational skills—managing multiple tasks efficiently in a warehouse setting.
  • Precision and accuracy—ensuring numerical data, stock records, and documentation are flawless.
  • Microsoft Office expertise (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) and experience with WMS or stock control software.
  • Strong communication & teamwork—collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external clients.
  • Analytical thinking—prioritising workloads, resolving issues, and identifying process improvements.
