Stock Assistant - Early Morning

Stock Assistant (Early Mornings) – Retail Store Position

Overview

Pay:

  • 16-17 years old: £8.00 per hour
  • 18+ years old: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 16 hrs per week – Starting between 5am–6am to ensure your store is stocked and ready for opening.

Every customer visit is a chance to create a positive experience, and as a Stock Assistant, you’ll play a key role in making that happen—from receiving deliveries and replenishing stock to ensuring your store is welcoming, organised, and ready for shoppers as soon as the doors open.

This isn’t just a stock job—you’ll be hands-on with deliveries, restocking, and keeping the shop floor on point. You’ll work alongside a fantastic team: customer-focused, passionate, and ready to make every visit special.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Customer-first attitude: Always focusing on the customer experience, no matter how small the task.
  • Exceptional customer service: Helping drive strong CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) scores, ensuring every interaction is friendly and memorable.
  • Stock management:
    • Unpacking and organising deliveries for efficient merchandising.
    • Ensuring optimum stock flow across departments and sub-categories.
  • Warehouse and backroom organisation:
    • Maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
    • Preparing totes and pallets for salvage collection.
  • Cross-training in customer-facing roles:
    • Till operations: Friendly, efficient checkouts with attention to detail, ensuring customers leave happy with their purchases.
    • Shop floor assistance: Helping customers find items and offering passionate recommendations.
    • Hosting: Using iPad systems to order products for delivery, assisting with Made to Measure curtain/blind services, and enhancing bedding and display styling.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
