About The Role

Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Stock Control Clerk, based at our Wigan Distribution Centre.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock across our distribution centre, helping to keep products moving efficiently through our operation and into our stores. Working closely with warehouse, logistics and supply chain teams, you'll help maintain accurate inventory records, investigate stock discrepancies and support the smooth running of our stock control processes.

This is a role covering Night Shifts, and the shift Pattern for this role is:

  • Week 1 Saturday, Sunday, Monday - 19:00 - 07:00
  • Week 2 Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 19:00 - 07:00

You'll be responsible for monitoring stock levels, carrying out stock counts and cycle counts, investigating variances and maintaining accurate records using our warehouse management systems. You'll also support goods in and goods out processes, ensure stock is stored safely and correctly, generate stock reports, and assist with audits and compliance activities. Your attention to detail and analytical approach will help minimise losses, improve accuracy and support operational performance across the site.

Working in a fast-paced distribution environment, you'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, analysing data and collaborating with colleagues to resolve issues. You'll have previous experience in a stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration or logistics environment, along with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel would be beneficial.
