Stock Control & Health and Safety Leader
Stock Controller (Experienced) – Warehouse Supervisory Role
Seeking an Experienced Stock Controller with a valid Forklift Truck Licence, a strong background in Health & Safety management, and extensive warehouse operations experience.
Responsible for inventory management, stock accuracy, warehouse safety compliance, and the implementation of PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) systems to enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to maintain accurate records, lead health and safety procedures, and drive continuous improvement in fast-paced warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Monitor stock movements, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
- Operate forklifts safely for loading, unloading, storage, and stock replenishment.
- Utilise PDA scanning systems for goods receipt, stock transfers, picking, dispatch, and inventory control.
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of PDA technology to enhance efficiency, traceability, and stock accuracy.
- Generate and analyse stock reports, KPIs, and inventory performance metrics.
- Coordinate warehouse health and safety activities in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and accident investigations.
- Deliver health and safety inductions and toolbox talks to warehouse staff.
- Ensure adherence to Manual Handling, COSHH, PPE, fire safety, and forklift operation procedures.
- Maintain safety records, incident logs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support teams in meeting operational targets while upholding safety standards.
