Overview

Stock Controller | Competitive Salary | Days only | Chichester

Provide impactful management of work in progress material stocks within the prep area to be the best at fresh. Assume responsibility and accountability for materials within the area of ownership, ensuring accuracy and readiness to supply internal customers in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor and control stock movements, physically and within the AX systems to ensure compliance to internal and external traceability and financial controls.

Shift pattern

We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 7am to 7pm covering days only. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically, you would be working as follows:

  • Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
  • Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that stock levels are maintained, accurate, and optimized
  • Conduct regular audits and stock takes to ensure inventory records align with physical stock
  • Communicate any stock and financial discrepancies to the site leadership team within agreed timescales
  • Rotate and store stock on a FIFO (first in, first out) basis and adhering to health & safety guidelines
  • Control the AX system to track and deliver accurate data on the stages of all jobs, giving full traceability and visibility of all products to the production team.
  • Review and improve stock control procedures to enhance operational replenishment processes

Experience/skills required

  • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or supply chain operations
  • Sound ERP (AX) systems knowledge
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or similar for reporting and analysis
  • Commercial awareness
