Stock Controller- Day Shift, 4 on 4 off 06:00-18:00 (Green Shift)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join the Planning team to be responsible for accurately recording Stock, using company systems to include SAP.

This role is well-suited to someone with Stock Control experience within a manufacturing environment who is familiar with planning and stock rotation.

Working on-site with our planning team, you will play a key role in ensuring that we continue to accurately record stock levels on site.

This is a site-based role at our Bicker facility, reporting to the Planning Manager, working full-time on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular physical inventory (PI) counts, accounting for approximately 50% of daily duties, to ensure stock accuracy across all on-site and off-site locations.
  • Maintain accurate stock records within the stock management system and investigate discrepancies, variances, and root causes.
  • Coordinate and manage cyclical stock count schedules, ensuring all stock locations are counted in line with agreed controls.
  • Produce clear and accurate reporting on stock accuracy, variances, corrective actions, and trends.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen stock integrity, traceability, and control processes.
  • Manage stock transfers internally and to/from external storage facilities, ensuring timely and accurate system updates.
  • Control and monitor obsolete, quarantined, customer-held, and restricted stock in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain effective stock location structures, labelling systems, and storage standards to support traceability and accuracy.
  • Manage returnable equipment (e.g. CHEP pallets, returnable trays), including ordering, de-hiring, and reconciliation through partner systems.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties or management requests appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.
  • Use the company’s integrated business software – SAP and Microsoft Office to accurately record and monitor stock.
  • Process all types of transactions of products internally within the business using the above platforms and record on the stock systems.
  • Check all products against associated paperwork.
  • Work closely with other departments in relation to stock and reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
